My History
I am Alan Whitney.  I was born in the early 1980’s in Lincoln, ME, the first born of two children.  I attended school in Lincoln and graduated from Mattanawcook Academy in 2000, and then attended University of Maine for a year, before dropping out.

Through much of teenage years I had a desire to learn more about computers and in more detail, program them.  Linux, perl and C programming occupied most of my interest.  In the summer of 2001, I started working at an ISP as a junior system administrator which turned more into a programing position.  Doing web development stuff on the side since 1997, in December 2002, I took a full time position as a web developer at a firm in Bangor, ME.

Since September 2002, I have been a follower of Jesus Christ, and attending a Calvary Chapel.  The Bible has become my favorite book.  The depth level of prophecy and truth keeps it as my favorite book.

In 2007, I started hanging out with a very cool woman.  We were married in September or 2007.  She is a good woman who challenges me to be a better man.

Hobbies
I like reading the bible, hiking, hunting, camping, shooting, guns, outdoors stuff, web development, and hanging out with people.  In doing those things I am a fan of the KJV, remington, ubuntu, glock, php, jquery, REI, and vi.
